About
LLC Colloquy 2014 is part of the Getting Over the Fear project.
The project, organised by Amy Burge and Victoria Anker, aims to demystify the conference process and to offer masters and PhD students a chance to develop their conference skills in a supportive environment.
LLC Colloquy 2014 will see graduate students from The University of Edinburgh's School of Literatures, Languages, and Cultures present their current research. We welcome both ten and twenty minute papers from students of all subjects within the school. The conference is an opportunity to share research, to practice and develop presentation skills, and to experiment with new methods of presentation. There will also be a chance for conference participants to submit their papers to a special issue of FORUM, Edinburgh's arts and culture postgraduate journal.
If you'd like to participate in LLC Colloquy 2014, please read our call for papers, and email your abstract to llccolloquy2014@gmail.com by 27th April 2014.
Anyone who would like to attend the conference can also register interest on our Facebook page.
Students can attend workshops on how to write a successful abstract, methods of obtaining funding, writing a conference paper, and presentation skills. You can learn more about the workshops here.
